Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians and design customized treatment plans using evidence-based practices. Perform therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities tailored to orthopedic needs. Monitor patient progress to adjust treatment plans and deliver education to empower clients and caregivers. Utilize the electronic health record system to document progress and collaborate with physicians and occupational therapists in team meetings. Work onsite at our outpatient clinic in Reston, Virginia, serving a diverse population focused on post-surgical recovery and sports injuries.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active State License in Physical Therapy, allowing you to practice in Virginia
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or equivalent recognized agency
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience in specialized orthopedic techniques
- Additional experience in pediatric therapy
- Proficiency in using EHR systems
