Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and establish individualized treatment plans for orthopedic outpatient care. Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, utilizing manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and treatment modalities to improve mobility and physical function. Document all interactions, progress notes, and updated treatment plans in the WebPT EMR system while monitoring patient recovery and adjusting interventions as needed. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists and assistants to ensure coordinated care for athletes recovering from sports injuries and older adults managing chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no previous board actions or disciplinary issues.
- Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing customized exercise routines suited to various patient needs.
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, for patient documentation and tracking.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
