Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Union, NJ)

Job Summary
Provide in-home therapy, group therapy, Telehealth, and outpatient center sessions for youth with mental health disorders in Union, NJ. Mentor newly hired therapists and interns while collaborating with the Child & Family Treatment Team. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments, develop treatment plans, teach coping and anger-management skills, and document intake, treatment plans, and progress notes. Requires a Master’s degree and active New Jersey licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT) with at least 5 years post-licensure clinical experience; proficiency in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care; knowledge of DSM-V; experience with telehealth and in-home/community-based services; willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training; valid NJ driver’s license and ability to pass background checks. Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; state reciprocity considered with proximity to service areas; after-school availability and weekend flexibility welcomed. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT)
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
- Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Experience providing positive behavior supports
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
- Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus
