Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Passaic County

Job Summary
Provide individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth, and outpatient center sessions for youth aged 3-20 with mental health disorders; conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans; teach coping, social, and anger management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self-injury; collaborate with the Child & Family Treatment Team; mentor newly hired therapists and interns; complete required clinical documentation and paperwork; attend monthly meetings; may train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments; requires NJ licensure and state driver’s license; after-school and weekend availability; opportunities for professional growth and a dynamic work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
- Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Experience providing positive behavior supports
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
- Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus
