Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Hudson County

Job Summary
Provide individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions for youth with mental health disorders. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans; teach coping, social, and anger management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression. Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges; collaborate with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals; mentor newly hired therapists and interns; submit all required documentation within designated timeframes; attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation; must be able to complete or train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
- Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Experience providing positive behavior supports
- Prior experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
- Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time
- State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
- Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus
