Job Summary
Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist needed in Southern New Jersey to provide In-Home and Center-Based weekly therapeutic services for youth (ages 3-20) with mental health disorders. Responsibilities include delivering individual, group, telehealth, and outpatient center therapy; conducting bio-psycho-social assessments; developing treatment plans; teaching coping, social, and anger-management skills; reducing risk behaviors; supporting youth and caregivers; collaborating with the Child & Family Treatment Team; mentoring newly hired therapists and interns; completing intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other documentation; attending monthly meetings; and potentially training for assessments. Requirements include a master’s degree in a behavioral health field, an active NJ license, at least 5 years of post-licensure experience with youth, mentoring/training experience, trauma-informed/counseling approaches knowledge (CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT), DSM-V knowledge, ability to work after-school hours with some weekend flexibility, a valid NJ driver’s license, background checks, drug screen, and no visa sponsorship needed; reciprocity considered if applicable. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT)
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
