Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Bergen County

Job Summary
Provide in-home therapy, group and telehealth sessions, and outpatient center-based services for youth with mental health disorders. Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments, develop and monitor treatment plans, teach coping and anger-management skills, and reduce risk behaviors. Mentor newly hired therapists and interns; ensure timely completion of documentation (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes). Collaborate with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals to support youth and families; maintain compliance with required clinical documentation and participate in monthly meetings. Requires a Master’s degree and active NJ license; 5+ years of post-licensure experience with youth; proficiency in CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT and Trauma-Informed Care; DSM-V knowledge; driving in NJ; willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT) or reciprocity if out-of-state license
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience mentoring/supervising/training junior therapists and interns
- Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
- Prior work with children ages 3-20; IDD experience a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- State reciprocity considered with proximity constraints
- Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility a plus
