Job Summary
Leasing Consultant supports leasing, marketing, and resident relations for student housing communities by delivering excellent customer service, conducting tours, processing applications, and helping meet occupancy and revenue goals. Responsibilities include leasing apartments, reviewing income/credit/background screening, preparing lease files, ensuring Fair Housing compliance, conducting tours, supporting marketing and outreach efforts, maintaining office and model units, handling move-in documentation and system setup, and aiding with renewal and retention efforts. Requires strong customer service, sales, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work weekends and coordinate with marketing and community engagement activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and explain lease documents
- Basic math skills including percentages and rent calculations
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Ability to work weekends and peak leasing season schedules
- Comfortable using social media platforms and creating posts for marketing, outreach, and community engagement
- Leasing, sales, marketing, or customer service experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
