Job Summary
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans for toddlers while creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development by fostering independence, confidence, and positive peer interactions. Supervise daily routines including meals, naps, toileting, and transitions, and observe, document, and communicate children's progress with families. Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to maintain a positive classroom culture, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and state licensing requirements. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a lead teacher or in an early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Patient, dependable, and professional demeanor
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to complete all required state licensing trainings and background requirements
