Job Summary
Support up to 16 children daily in a JrK Full Day classroom running 7:15-5:45, collaborating with a full-time teacher, support staff, and an afternoon assistant. Manage parent communication, child supervision, curriculum planning, and child assessments while ensuring adherence to safety, sanitation, EEC licensing, and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria. Work 40 hours per week in flexible shifts, including mostly 9:45-5:45 rotations, with a paid 30-minute break. Maintain summer program coverage for students transitioning to JrK or Kindergarten.
Required Qualifications
- EEC Preschool Teacher certification
- some early childhood teaching experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan creative engaging curriculum
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in early childhood or related field
- Knowledge of a second language
