Job Summary
Intervenor position in a not-for-profit organization in Guelph, ON, partnering to support communication and day-to-day living for individuals with dual sensory impairment to live independently. Responsibilities include supporting individuals in home and community environments, using communication techniques to relay information, enabling participation in daily activities, providing personal care as needed (e.g., lifts/transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, medication administration), assisting with goal and program development, ensuring complete documentation, and participating in in-house training. Qualifications include a college diploma or certificate in relevant intervenor or human-services fields, experience supporting people with developmental disabilities and mental-health conditions, ASL or SEE, and valid G-class driver’s license with reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance. Workplace requires lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally; position may require indoor/outdoor work and conditional Vulnerable Sector Police Check. French language ability is an asset.
