Job Summary
Teach courses in various modalities while promoting the university's vision and mission, covering 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter. Utilize effective teaching strategies and live classroom tools for synchronous sessions, ensuring clear objectives and organized environments. Create high student engagement through activities and community building, providing support via synchronous or asynchronous communication to help students achieve learning objectives. Play an integral role in curriculum development and assessment implementation, attending programmatic meetings and committee work as designated. Collaborate with the Dean to maintain a supportive classroom presence and mentor students toward their educational goals within a growing nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Active RN license that has never been encumbered
- Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
- 1 year clinical experience as an RN
- Self-motivated
- Flexible
- Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Presentation abilities
- Leadership abilities
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications
- Official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution
- Applicable faculty immunization documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate prepared nurse
- 2+ years clinical experience as an RN
- Previous teaching/training experience
