Job Summary
Teach courses across various modalities while promoting the university's vision and mission, generally covering 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter. Implement effective teaching strategies, model appropriate learning skills, and create an environment conducive to student engagement through live classroom tools and synchronous sessions. Articulate course objectives clearly, organize the classroom efficiently, and play an integral role in curriculum development and assessment implementation. Provide student support and outreach via synchronous or asynchronous communication to help students achieve learning objectives. Attend programmatic meetings and committee work as designated by the Dean.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered
- Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
- 1 year clinical experience as an RN
- Self-motivated
- Flexible
- Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Presentation abilities
- Leadership abilities
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications
- Official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution
- Applicable faculty immunization documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate prepared nurse
- 2+ years clinical experience as an RN
- Previous teaching/training experience
