Job Summary
Leads UPS Small Package hub and sort operations, supervising unloaders, sorters, and part-time supervisors; ensures accurate sorting and loading of packages, on-time dispatch, and collaboration with hub/feeder management for peak-season plans; analyzes load forecasts to determine staffing, reviews operational reports to drive productivity, conducts performance evaluations, and enforces safety and training compliance; engages with union representatives to maintain employee relations and safety training records, and drives accountability for on-the-job health and safety. Responsibilities include cross-functional communication to service equipment, staffing support, ensuring proper sorting, coordinating with dispatch to align loads with service agreements for large accounts, and identifying training needs for continuous development. Requirements include a bachelor's degree or international equivalent (preferred) and U.S. work authorization; ongoing focus on policy comprehension, safety, compliance, and asset management; strong communication, accountability, and teamwork skills; experience managing physical assets and leading teams.
