Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and lead developmental and recreational activities, and oversee household routines and budgeting. Initially nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and a total annual compensation of about $168,000 per couple ($44,768 per person).
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
