Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate physical capabilities and limitations, then develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices. Monitor and document patients' progress while modifying plans to meet evolving therapeutic goals, and educate patients and families about practices and home exercises to reinforce recovery. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, staying current with advancements through workshops and ongoing education. This role primarily serves patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic diseases in a home setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Valid State License in Physical Therapy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using computers and documentation software related to patient care
- Current CPR certification
- Flexibility and agility to adapt to varying patient needs and settings
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy
- Experience in home care settings
- Prior experience with diverse patient populations
