Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess physical conditions and functional capabilities. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals, utilizing manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and education on home exercises. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and outcomes while engaging in collaborative team meetings to optimize care strategies. Educate patients and families about therapeutic processes and prescribed home exercise plans. Work with diverse populations including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports injury cases. Schedule is Monday to Friday with a 40-hour work week.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A current and valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida
- Graduation from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in using word processing and clinical documentation software
- Monday to Friday schedule
- 40-hour work week
- Onsite role
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy practice
- Experience in home health settings and familiarity with the challenges and rewards of in-home patient care
- Demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships with patients and community members
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
