Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, review medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic conditions including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on patient responses while documenting progress meticulously, including discharge planning and follow-up instructions. Engage in ongoing consultations with interprofessional team members to adjust care plans and uphold compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations. Foster an environment of respect through open communication with patients, families, and insurance representatives while participating in facility meetings and professional development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, preferably within an outpatient or home care setting
- Proficient in utilizing various treatment modalities and techniques tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation
- Experience in patient evaluation and documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems
