Job Summary
Direct physical therapy treatments tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure care plans are executed effectively. Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests related to muscles, nerves, and joints. Assess the home environment for rehabilitation potential and administer therapeutic interventions including manual exercises, traction, and massages. Develop, review, and update personalized care plans collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members while maintaining accurate clinical records. Engage with clients and families to provide education on therapy techniques and device usage. Participate in regular case conferences to optimize treatment plans. Monday to Friday schedule. Doctorate in Physical Therapy and active New Jersey license required.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey free of sanctions or board proceedings.
- Strong foundational knowledge and mastery in various manual therapy modalities.
- Exceptional skills in developing and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to individual client needs.
- Proficiency in using EMR software, particularly Web PT, for comprehensive documentation.
- A commitment to staying current with evidence-based physical therapy techniques and practices.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing home care therapy services is highly desirable.
