Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with injuries, chronic conditions, or post-surgical recovery needs to assess physical capabilities. Develop tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to alleviate pain and improve functional mobility. Implement individualized sessions while tracking progress and adjusting plans based on outcomes. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, safe transfers, and assistive device usage. Maintain precise documentation of treatment plans and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Engage in professional development through workshops and certifications to stay current on best practices. Work Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maryland.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in a home care or outpatient setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans to patients and collaborate with team members.
- Proficient in using word processing and documentation software for record keeping and treatment planning.
- Demonstrated adaptability to varying patient environments and needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work experience in home care settings.
- Specialized training or certifications in pediatric or geriatric therapy.
- Familiarity with assistive technology.
