Job Summary
Evaluate patients referred by physicians and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. Implement therapeutic interventions in the patient's home using modalities that support recovery as outlined in the physician's plan of care. Manage a diverse caseload covering orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine conditions while documenting progress and educating patients and families on recovery techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize results and monitor effectiveness against business and utilization goals. This role requires a valid Virginia license, BLS certification, and two years of clinical experience. Candidates with home care or outpatient therapy expertise are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with patients and the healthcare team
- Proficient in word processing and computer skills, enabling effective use of electronic health records
- A commitment to building trusting, supportive relationships with patients and demonstrating a genuine desire to impact their lives positively
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
