Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical conditions and movement capabilities, then develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnoses of movement dysfunction. Implement therapeutic exercise techniques and educate patients on their effective use to promote recovery, while utilizing modalities such as stimulation or massage to enhance healing. Assist patients in navigating home environments safely using tools like walkers or wheelchairs, and maintain meticulous confidential records tracking progress toward defined goals. Provide guidance to patients and families regarding in-home exercises and treatment options to support ongoing recovery across diverse populations including children, adults, and those with chronic or neuromuscular conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems for patient documentation
- A flexible, agile mindset to adapt to the varying needs of patients
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
