Job Summary
Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety, address policy breaches, and respond to security alarms and emergencies. De-escalate crisis situations, exercise crowd control, and evict trespassers while providing exceptional customer service to clients and patrons. Write detailed incident, emergency, and liability reports, and utilize two-way radios to communicate site activities. Provide first aid and medical response when required, manage Lost & Found items, and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedic resources. Work rotating day and overnight shifts (1900-0700, 4 On 4 Off) at Vulcan Healthcare Centre, requiring a valid Alberta security license, First Aid/CPR Level C certification, and ability to walk 18-20km.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong observational skills
- Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
- Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- High School Diploma/GED
- First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
- Valid Alberta Security License
