Job Summary
Head Cashier at Lowe's responsible for delivering SMART customer service, supervising front-end team, processing transactions, price matching, assisting customers with locating, selecting, and loading merchandise, training and coaching associates, ensuring cash handling accuracy, maintaining register readiness, monitoring security and safety, and supporting store operations across the CSA Front End. Strong emphasis on customer guidance, product knowledge, thorough checkout processes, and teamwork to maintain efficient store front-end performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Preferred Qualifications 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
