Job Summary
Head Cashier at Lowe's (Full Time) responsible for delivering consistent customer care, operating the cash register, processing transactions, aiding customers with locating and loading merchandise, providing product and warranty information, and assisting in cashier-area workflow and safety. The role includes coaching and training associates, ensuring accurate cash handling and store security, performing price checks and price matching, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and supporting inventory and line readiness to optimize checkout efficiency. Requires at least a high school diploma or GED, retail cashier experience, computer and retail tech familiarity, and the ability to obtain any required sales-related licensure. Strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork, supervision, and adherence to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
