Job Summary
Head Cashier role at Lowe's: responsible for customer service excellence, operating the cash register, processing transactions, providing product information and warranty details, supporting store operations, training and coaching associates, preventing security incidents, maintaining registers and cleanliness, and assisting in line coverage. Requires high school diploma or GED, cashier experience, basic computer and retail tech proficiency, potential licensing as needed, and supervisory exposure or responsibilities. Located in Eugene, OR; on-site retail environment with standard in-store duties and safety/housekeeping requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- Preferred Qualifications 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
