Job Summary
Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register while providing SMART customer service and coaching associates on departmental duties. Manage register areas by confirming scanner functionality, stocking supplies, and performing daily cash counts and reconciliations. Assist customers with locating merchandise, verify product information, and handle security tasks such as removing tags, monitoring alarms, and reporting theft risks. Enter customer orders, verify price matches, and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards. Complete assigned duties as needed to ensure efficient checkout and secure store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
