Job Summary
Provide SMART customer service by locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise while processing sales, returns, and refunds. Coach and train associates on departmental duties and sales opportunities. Manage register activities including cash counting, daily reconciliation, and drawer monitoring. Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise. Assist with line vesting, open additional registers, and prepare register areas. Inspect returned items for damage, enter customer orders, and verify price matches. Monitor store entrances and exits for security risks, detect shoplifting, and communicate hazards to management. Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and safety requirements. Operate store equipment as needed. Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
