Job Summary
Execute daily closing duties including cash counting, register reconciliation, and drawer monitoring to ensure compliance with limit requirements. Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds while removing security tags, verifying product information, and bagging merchandise. Coach and train associates on departmental duties, sales opportunities, and Lowe's customer service policies. Inspect returned merchandise for damages, enter customer orders, and verify price matches against competitor data. Monitor merchandise flow at store entrances and exits to detect shoplifting signs, communicate security risks to management, and maintain a safe work environment through daily safety reviews and hazard reporting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- 1 Year Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits
- 1 Year Experience as a head cashier
- Less than 1 Year Experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
- 1 Year Supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting (e.g., merchandise hidden inside of containers, merchandise under carts, price labels switched)
