Job Summary
Greet, welcome, and interact with museum guests of all ages to anticipate and respond quickly to their questions, concerns, and expectations. Resolve guest complaints effectively using service recovery techniques and provide back-up to reunite lost visitors. Operate, monitor, and communicate via a two-way radio connecting guest services, security, and environmental teams. Clearly communicate ropes course processes, including pricing, safety requirements, and harnessing protocols, while overseeing guest progress on obstacles exceeding 30 feet. Assist guests navigating course elements and coordinate emergency take-downs as needed. Maintain assigned areas by cleaning up trash, food residue, and bodily fluids, and participate in frequent gallery cleaning. Switch assignments frequently throughout the day to different exhibits and roles as required. Work weekends, holidays, and extended schedules during peak periods, including early openings and after-hours events. Report to work on time and follow all established safety and operating procedures without exception.
Required Qualifications
- Open availability to work any day of the week including the willingness to work Fridays and Saturdays until 8 p.m. as well as holidays.
- High school diploma, GED, or CDOS.
- Ability to be successfully trained to work competently in all exhibit spaces as well as the admissions area and/ or ropes course.
- Candidates must be willing to be trained and work at the ropes course.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must consent to and pass a reference check, drug screen and criminal background check.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior guest services experience in a fast-paced entertainment venue is a plus.
