Job Summary
Lead and coach a framing team to drive custom framing sales; manage SOP compliance and company programs to ensure legal and policy adherence; ensure on-time delivery of high-quality framing solutions by planning workload with the Store Manager; drive KPI achievement, inventory/shrink controls, and safety; serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management; collaborate with MODs on framing expectations; assist customers in creating framing solutions and provide solutions to meet their needs; engage in truck unloading, stocking, Omni-channel processes, and other duties to support a busy retail environment; promote a positive image and adherence to Michaels’ values and policies; requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings in a public retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- Previous custom framing experience is preferred
- Retail management experience
- Experience leading a sales team
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to move throughout the store and stand for long periods
- Lifting heavy boxes and frames; use of ladder or similar equipment
- Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and teammates
- Ability to assist with interviewing and onboarding of new team members
- Knowledge of SOPs and safety programs
