Job Summary
Manage overall store operations and direct staff to achieve company goals, assuming primary responsibility in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Managers. Greet customers, resolve complaints, and ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly. Supervise opening and closing procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and assist with Loss Prevention, Safety, and Internal Audits. Oversee forklift operations, receiving, stocking, and cycle counts while ensuring timely price changes and label updates. Assist with cashiering functions, training, and audits, and communicate operational issues to management. Requires a high school diploma, ability to work flexible hours, and physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs. Starting at $17/HR.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacture assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration and motivate others both internal and external to perform enthusiastically
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs) regularly, and lifting (up to 100lbs) occasionally with assistance, and climbing
