Job Summary

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries while performing comprehensive medical assessments and developing treatment plans. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing, including on-site capabilities, and execute procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound management, and splinting. Provide occupational medicine services, prescribe medications within scope of practice, and maintain accurate electronic medical records. Collaborate with supervising physicians according to established protocols and educate patients regarding treatment plans and preventive health measures. Full-time role with 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and rotating schedule between Old Bridge, Milltown, and Freehold locations. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Physician Assistant license in New Jersey
  • NCCPA certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing patients independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Proficiency with common urgent care procedures
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills
  • Ability to travel between assigned AFC locations
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating schedule between Old Bridge, Milltown, and Freehold locations
  • Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
