Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups while performing comprehensive medical assessments and developing treatment plans. Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing, including digital X-rays, and execute procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, wound management, and splinting. Provide occupational medicine services and workers' compensation evaluations, prescribe medications within scope of practice, and maintain accurate electronic medical records. Collaborate with supervising physicians according to established protocols and educate patients on treatment plans and preventive health measures. Work primarily as the sole medical provider on 12-hour shifts rotating between Old Bridge, Milltown, and Freehold locations, with every other weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant license in New Jersey
- NCCPA certification
- Ability to travel between assigned AFC locations
- Experience managing patients independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with common urgent care procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills
