Job Summary
Greet members with enthusiasm, assist with check-ins and inquiries, and promote club programs while maintaining a clean, safe workout environment. Provide orientation on equipment use, encourage progress, and perform routine cleaning and light maintenance checks. Build rapport to support member retention and foster a welcoming atmosphere aligned with the club's philosophy. This entry-level role offers clear pathways into management, includes PTO and 401K matching, and requires completing certification within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Passion for fitness and helping others
- Willingness to learn basic training techniques
- Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and manufacturer specific equipment training within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to perform and demonstrate a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4–8 hours per shift)
- Capability to lift, move, and safely adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
