Job Summary
Gun Counter Outfitter at Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s delivers legendary customer service by greeting customers, assessing needs, and guiding purchases of firearms, scopes, and related outdoor gear. Must safely handle firearms and adhere to provincial, federal, and company firearm regulations. Responsibilities include recommending products based on customer analysis, maintaining store presentation, responding to issues with sound judgment, and staying informed about hunting and outdoor trends. The role requires knowledge of firearms models, the ability to upsell and cross-sell, and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience in a specialty retail environment. A PAL license is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Starting pay ranges from $18.50 to $21.25 per hour, with eligible benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years experience in sales or service environment preferred
- Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations
- Knowledge of firearms and related products (firearms, scopes)
