Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including physical examinations, counseling, and managing treatment compliance. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory results. Perform therapeutic procedures like incision and drainage, splinting, suturing, infection management, and wound care. Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens while developing patient management plans and recording progress notes. Communicate regularly with patients regarding testing results and follow-up care. Work Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and Sat-Sun 8am-4pm on block scheduling, with an on-call rotation and willingness to travel to other sites or in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- One (1) year experience in family medicine and/or clinical setting
- Must be willing to work every other weekend
- Willing to travel to other sites as needed
- Willing to travel in inclement weather
- Willing to participate in On-Call
Desired Qualifications
- Prior urgent care or walk-in center experience
