Job Summary

Full-Time Professor of Mechanics and Materials at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Design and deliver rigorous learning experiences aligned with international standards; strengthen and update the Mechanics and Materials program; contribute to research, collaboration, and institutional positioning; collaborate with the Department of Mechanical Engineering across Thermal/Fluid Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering, transformation/characterization processes, mechanical design and prototyping, experimental mechanics, industrial automation, and mechanical systems. Requires a PhD in a related field, an active research trajectory with indexed publications, strong teaching experience in core mechanical/materials topics, ability to supervise projects and theses, experience or potential for industrial engagement, and advanced English proficiency (C1). Desirable skills include CFD, numerical simulation and CAD tools (Catia, NX, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL), materials characterization (SEM, EDS, XRD, EBSD, microhardness, tribology, tensile, fatigue), CNC/advanced manufacturing, design for manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and participation in funded projects. Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Mechanical Industrial Engineering, or related fields from a university ranked within the Top 100 worldwide in the discipline
  • Active research trajectory with recent publications in indexed journals (JCR/Scopus)
  • Bibliometric indicators consistent with academic stage (h-index and citations aligned with career level)
  • Proven teaching experience in courses such as Heat Transfer / Thermofluids, Materials Science, Manufacturing Processes, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanical Design
  • Ability to supervise projects, theses, and research groups
  • Experience or potential for industrial engagement
  • English proficiency at C1 level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for comprehensive development of students and academic leadership
