Job Summary
Faculty role in Pharmacology/Biochemistry for the PharmD program, delivering lectures in Pharmacology and Biochemistry, providing didactic, laboratory, and small group teaching, mentoring students and peer faculty, conducting scholarly activities, and contributing to department planning and curriculum updates. Responsibilities include assisting in recruitment and retention of faculty and students, orientations, faculty development activities, peer teaching evaluations, and representing the School of Pharmacy in professional activities. Requires a PhD in Pharmacology or related field; post-doctoral experience preferred; strong verbal/written communication and computer skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- PhD degree in Pharmacology or related field
- Post-Doctoral research fellowship in Pharmacology or a related field is preferred
- Prior teaching experience in relevant field, preferred
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations
- Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
