Job Summary
Provide active, hands-on support throughout the day, including assisting with personal care like toileting, bathing, feeding, and mobility. Support communication using an iPad and basic sign language while participating in community outings, recreation, and daily activities. Implement positive behavioral support strategies and collect required data for daily documentation. Collaborate closely with family members and experienced behavioral professionals to help create a positive, engaging environment for a young man. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with a starting salary of $37.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Gerontology, or a related field
- NADD Certification with relevant experience
- Reliable transportation
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable working in a home with pets
- Able to assist with transfers and personal care
- Successful completion of required background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Experience with positive behavioral supports and data collection
- CNA or comparable hands-on caregiving experience
