Job Summary
Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice and safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in accordance with state and local regulations. Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of transport and clinical settings while applying EMS protocols and procedures effectively. Communicate professionally with patients, families, and healthcare personnel, and document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system. Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports, while maintaining equipment, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and restocking supplies. Demonstrate ethical conduct and commitment to patient care and safety. Work 24-hour shifts on a 24/72 schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current EMT certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness and ability to work 24-hour shifts
