Job Summary
Full-time Early Childhood Associate Teacher role in Tampa, FL supporting children ages two through five. Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with diapering and potty-learning, facilitating learning experiences to promote intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development, maintaining a safe and healthy classroom, engaging with children using respectful language, ensuring confidentiality, maintaining a clean learning environment, and collaborating with staff, families, and administration. Earn hours toward Staff Credential or CDA; includes ongoing training on Program Wide Positive Behavior Support (PWPBS). Shift is Monday–Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm; requires ability to lift up to 40 pounds and pass background/drug checks and a 45-hour DCF training within one year.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of post-secondary education; preferred
- One (1) year of experience working with children; preferred
- Willingness to complete Department of Children and Families (DCF) mandatory 45-hour introductory training within one-year of employment in a childcare setting
- Pre-employment requirements include satisfactory reference checks, drug screen (employer paid), and criminal background check
