Job Summary
Direct Support Professional responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, collaborating with families, advocates, friends, and community partners to promote full citizenship and strengthen relationships for individuals with developmental disabilities. Emphasizes self-determination and recognizing each person’s unique gifts, with opportunities for growth and development. Role may involve driving/travel within the local community to support people served; requires safe reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Preference for Experience (volunteer or employment), Developmental Services Worker or Child and Youth Worker background or related post-secondary education; location supports on-site service delivery with potential flexibility in scheduling and travel.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- A valid Sask. Full Class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
