Job Summary
The Correctional Dialysis RN delivers hemodialysis treatment and provides specialized nursing care in accordance with state law. You will use assessment, technical, collaborative, documentation, and leadership skills daily to support a dialysis unit located at Lansing Correctional Facility in Lansing, KS. Expect coordination with the healthcare team, strong communication with clients and staff, rapid response to emergencies, development and evaluation of care plans, supervision of patient care activities, accurate documentation, infection-control practices, and participation in quality assurance initiatives. Requires RN licensure in Kansas, CPR certification, and 1 year of recent Hemodialysis experience; English proficiency and strong technical/computer skills are also required. The role emphasizes patient education, team collaboration, adherence to policies, and maintaining a safe, professional clinical environment; the position cannot be performed remotely and reports to the Unit Leader.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent
- Current RN License for Kansas & current CPR certification (or within three months of hire)
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience is required (two to three years of experience preferred)
