Job Summary
Correctional Dialysis LPN provides dialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a correctional facility. Responsibilities include performing and monitoring dialysis, conducting thorough patient assessments, recognizing changes in patient condition, developing and evaluating care plans, administering medications as ordered, obtaining lab specimens, and collaborating with the healthcare team (including dietitians and nephrologists). The role emphasizes infection control, documentation, unit operations, and participation in quality management and ongoing education; the unit operates Monday–Saturday, 6am–6pm, in Whitmore Lake, MI. Requires English communication, strong technical proficiency with laptops/tablets and standard software, and a Michigan LPN license with at least one year of dialysis experience. Must be able to work in a correctional facility and maintain regular attendance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Current LPN license for Michigan
- Current CPR Certification
- One-year clinical dialysis experience
