Job Summary
Provide preventive dental care as part of a periodontal specialty team, including thorough dental cleanings with scaling, polishing, and root planing; take and develop dental radiographs; conduct oral health assessments; educate patients on hygiene techniques and preventive care; prepare and sterilize treatment rooms; assist the dentist during exams and procedures; document patient care and treatment plans; monitor supplies and equipment; maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance; contribute to a positive patient experience with specialized periodontal focus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of practice
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Proficiency with dental software and digital charting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Gentle and compassionate chairside manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
