Job Summary
Dental Hygienist position at Downtown Dental Associates (Anderson, SC) offering full clinical autonomy with a hygiene mentor program and 1:1 mentorship. You’ll provide preventative care and lifetime oral health maintenance, supported by Heartland Dental’s extensive resources, labs, and clinical education offerings. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, collaboration within a fast-paced team, utilization of Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, and digital x-rays, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Requires SC licensure and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene; new graduates and experienced hygienists are welcome. TB testing is required prior to starting. Availability for periodic virtual or in-person training sessions is expected. The practice participates in health insurance and retirement benefits and maintains a commitment to safety and patient care excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- New graduates and seasoned hygienists welcome
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills
- TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions
