Job Summary
Prepare and serve all food items and meals in accordance with planned menus and recipes; ensure meals are palatable and appetizing, and assist with special diet requests. Maintain sanitary conditions, handle food storage and labeling, monitor temperatures, and assist with inventory and ordering of food and supplies. Provide support to the Food Service Director and interact with residents and staff in a professional manner. Requires Serv Safe/Food Handler’s permit and adherence to safety policies; duties include opening/closing the kitchen, coordinating with meal service times, and performing additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Experience in food preparation and safe handling of food and equipment (preferred)
