Job Summary
Cook needed at Allegro Living community to prepare high-quality, visually appealing meals for residents and guests. Responsibilities include supervising the kitchen under the Dining Services Director and Lead Cook, preparing meals consistent with local customs and recipes while adhering to budgeted costs and company policies, supervising and/or assisting with dishwashing and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment, and ensuring food safety standards. The role requires friendly, service-oriented interaction with residents and staff. Requires 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent, flexibility, teamwork, strong time-management and safety awareness, a current manager’s level food handler permit, and successful criminal background screening. Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be flexible/adaptable, pay attention to detail, and have a sense of teamwork.
- Must possess good time management skills and a keen awareness of safety.
- Must possess current manager’s level food handler permit.
- Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
