Job Summary
Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that support student learning while developing and maintaining curriculum and course materials. Manage classroom environments, maintain student records, and provide timely feedback on course and program learning outcomes. Facilitate student achievement of expected outcomes through the Learning Management System and ensure knowledge of emergency and safety procedures for all learning environments. Provide academic-related coaching and monitoring to assigned advisees, documenting performance and intervening with communication, tutoring, and referrals to appropriate resources. Promote student recruitment, retention, and successful completion through outreach via phone and technology tools. Participate in professional development, scholarly activities, and community service to advance college relationships within the service area. Support institutional initiatives including committee participation, accreditation projects, and grant-related work as requested by administration.
Required Qualifications
- Earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution in technology, engineering, engineering technology
- Earned baccalaureate or higher degree directly related to the program's discipline
- Earned associate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the program's discipline
- Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman's card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and competencies and in journeyperson status for two years or more with specifically linked experience
- Current Workplace Specialist License, Technology Education License (Technology and Engineering Education, Engineering and Technology Education), or CTE: Trade & Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing License granted by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught and program accreditation requirements
- Two years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
- Five years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
- 5 years directly related work experience in the field that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
- Official Academic Transcripts required at the time of hire, sent directly from issuing institution to the Office of Human Resources
